The Most Personal Thing You Can Do Current mood: hungry According to the PBS programme I was just watching, "The Rise of The Southern Biscuit," making a biscuit is the most personal thing you can do. Who knew? Naturalization or not, obviously I'm not a real Southerner because I had other ideas of what the most personal thing you could do was. The show featured a cafe in Lyles, TN called The Beacon Light, which looked fabulous. Their secret is lard. Love me some lard. They also featured The Loveless Cafe, which I have never been to. Shame on me - I even live on the same side of town. It's ten minutes away from me. I think I'll go on a biscuit tasting quest over Christmas break. One of my personal favourites is The Country Boy in Leiper's Fork. However, I haven't been there in years, but I used to love eating their lemon ice-box pie for breakfast after going to Jackson falls. Well, I think I'm going to make myself a late breakfast!
